Special note: In case the packet arrives in a damaged or crushed condition, please sign the courier slip with a comment that the packet was damaged. This will help us in taking the matter with the courier company and issue you a refund or a fresh order at the earliest
In an unlikely event where any of the following happens, we are liable to either issue a refund (partial or full) or send you a fresh order:
- If theft happens during shipment
- If intrusion happens during shipment
- If the product gets perished before reaching the consumer
- If product gets crushed during the shipment
- If wrong order is sent to a customer
- If your location is not serviceable by our courier partners
- If the order contains an item that is no more available or is out of stock
To complete your return/ refund in any of the above situation, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are incorrectly sent to the wrong customer. If you need to exchange it, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To return your product, simply intimate us over email or use our contact us page to drop us a note with your order id and we will do the needful.
You need not bear any shipping cost for a return. We will take care of it for you
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
We at The South Indian Store are committed to deliver quality products to your doorsteps on time without losing the quality.
At the same time, we also ensure that you get only freshly prepared products from our store. So, it usually takes 1-2 business days for us to prepare your order once we receive it. Once prepared, it is packed and quality check is done. This is done to ensure that there is no possibility of the product getting attacked by rodents and insects during the shipment.
Once all checks are done and passed, we ship the order with one of our trusted courier partner.
Below is the expected number of days required to deliver your order based upon the location
- Time required to process the order – Maximum 2 business days.
- Time required to deliver the order in Metro cities – 2 to 4 days.
- Time required to deliver in non-metro cities – 3 to 7 days.
- Note - Kerala matta rice will be delivered in 7-10 business days as the same is shipped through surface shipment
You will be informed through email once the order is processed and shipped. A waybill number to track your order will also be shared through a separate email.
